1 1/2 cups eggnog
5 large eggs
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
12 slices Texas toast (or other white bread)
1 tbsp butter or cooking spray
1 container of maple syrup
Optional: Whipped cream
- Preheat an electric griddle to 350 degrees.
- In a medium mixing bowl whisk together eggnog, eggs, and nutmeg until well blended.
- Pour mixture into a 11 by 7-inch baking dish (or other shallow baking dish) and dip bread into egg mixture, then rotate and coat the opposite side.
- Transfer to a buttered griddle and cook until the bottom is golden brown. Next, flip the slice over and cook the opposite side until golden.
Serve warm with maple syrup and whipped cream if desired.
